Well, The Polk County Tour has slowly crept over to Osceola County this week! I never thought I would be such a lover of English food, but this place has turned me around. When we went to England, I found myself in "kid friendly pubs" with "beer gardens." Sounds contradictory right? Some how Ann and her husband have managed to plop that concept right down here in the Best of British. A pub and a bar, in England, and here are two very different things.
Be it to watch a game with a solid WIFI signal with my very English Husband, or to stuff my face with an English Breakfast .. This is my happy place! And let's be real, the latter is more likely.

What is an English breakfast you ask? I'm so glad you did! It is pictured here in all it's glory with two eggs, Heinz beans, Black pudding, English bacon, English sausage, tomatoes, mushrooms, with a side of English toast. The differences are pretty major and this is a Sunday staple!
Ann opened this now iconic "pub" with her husband Jimmy right in the middle of Covid, March 2020. That being said, you would never know it! This place is always busy at the seems, and keeps a steady stream of entertainment, events, and of course all the soccer matches. Couple that with good food, and you have a recipe for success. Ann and her husband hail from Auckland, and Manchester and are truly living the dream here in the 4 corners area.
Ann's favorite thing on the menu is the Cheese and Onion Pasty. My personal favorite is the Shepard's pie! The mash is fresh every time. Ann and her husband were in property management for 12 years and were ready for a change of pace. Their favorite thing about owning the pub is the social side. This is THE most friendly place in town and you can always count on a bartender that remembers your drink if not how you like your eggs and of course your name.
Monday nights you can find a game of Poker, Wednesday is Trivia, and Thursday is Karaoke. Friday is always a live band and Saturday night is CURRY-oke with Chef's famous Curry. Always book in advance for that one or you can't find a seat. Sunday Funday is always in full affect with $15 bottomless mimosas and bloody mary's.
If you're looking for simple ingredients, and down right comfort food, this is the place to find it. The Best of British has been saving our marriage one Yorkshire pudding at a time - trust me it is an art form!
